Kitchen – Wynnewood, PA
Every detail of this dream kitchen was meticulously planned by the owners and the Design Manifest team. A wall between the kitchen and family room was removed and replaced by built-in cabinetry with a pass thru. Hardwood floors were installed throughout the whole space. The two rooms were transformed into an open, inviting, yet well defined living space.
The Floor Plan
Custom, two-toned cabinetry by Christiana was beautifully crafted to look like fine furniture. The stained island features decorative features such as fluted cabinetry legs and beadboard sides, while still serving practical storage needs, such as microwave drawer, double trash bins, pull out baskets, tray dividers and bookshelves.
Main Cabinetry
The main cabinetry has a creamy painted finish with glaze over top. Fluted legs flank the cook top and sink and conceal convenient pull out spice shelves. A custom wood hood anchors the cooking space and becomes the focal point of the room. Glass and metal mosaics decorate the backsplash and pick up the blue in the beautiful Volga Blue granite countertops. The honed Ivory White granite top of the island creates a nice color and textural contrast.
Appliances
Appliances include a 42” subzero- covered in cabinetry panels, to appear more like an armoire,- a 36” Viking cook top, Bosch dishwasher, Thermador double ovens, and a Dacor warming drawer. Lighting adds to the drama in the room and comes from several sources. Under cabinet and inner cabinet lighting is hidden nicely behind moldings, while decorative pendants and chandelier highlight the island and new table.
