Bathroom – Radnor, PA

The design of this bathroom was driven by the need for a larger shower and more storage space.  Originally a large, unused tub sat under window- taking up most of the floor space and creating a cramped feel to the room.  We removed the tub, created a tiled window bench and enlarged the shower.  Frameless glass doors make the shower feel even more open and inviting.  Body sprays and glass tiles complete the shower space.

An extra sink was removed to create a single vanity area with lots of storage.  The sink cabinet steps out and has a soft arch at the base.  The cabinets are a cream with antiqued glaze applied over the paint.  Wall cabinets frame the mirror and sink and act as medicine cabinets.  Beautiful Verde Tourmaline granite was used as the vanity counter.  A wall between the vanity and toilet was construction to create privacy between the spaces.  A small cut-out in the wall creates interest and provides a place to display pretty items.  A tall hutch was placed along the entrance wall and flanked by sconces.  It coordinates with the vanity cabinets  and is a handy place to store linens.
