Oh hey. I know I’ve been absent around these parts a bit. I’ve just been in a whirlwind decorating install over at my own apartment and haven’t wanted to come up for air. Lots of big picture pieces have come together, and details are creating some magic too. I truly am excited to share more with you guys, but in the meanwhile I haven’t got loads of time to come up with juicy blog posts. And I feel, my dear readers, that you deserve the juiciest of juicy stuff.
One little thing that is inspiring me is Erin Feasby’s genius idea to pair a big pattern on a pillow with grosgrain ribbon embellishment. It’s both oversized and perfectly tailored. I’m really intrigued by the concept of framing a pattern. It creates this interesting pattern-on-pattern look. Just a bit boho + just a bit preppy = perfection.
Very cool. I’ve never seen ribbon like that on a pattern only on a solid. You may definitely be onto something there! I’m liking it a lot. Can’t wait to see your lamp. I’m sure it will look fabulous!
I recently added some gold ribbon on a plain pillow. Not as exciting.

I like it when you talk flavah! Very cool idea, I like the thickness of the ribbon and how huge the pillows are! Makes it more fun and playful in an otherwise sedate room.
I’m intrigued with the ribbon on the lamp idea. I think anything you touch will turn to gold!
If anyone can avoid ruining it, it’s you.
I, however, would end up in a tangled mess of hot glue and grosgrain snippets.
