ORC Fave Week 3

Oh man what a weekend!  I had three full nights of socializing, one intense yoga class, a whirlwind day of Ikea and Lowes runs, and 2 (yes TWO) major DIY projects.  I’m tired, fighting off a cold and just trying to stay afloat with work projects but it’s all good because I’m moving into my house tomorrow!  Yes, technically my stuff moved there two weeks ago, but I haven’t slept there yet.  Very, very excited.

As for my fave from week 3 of the One Room Challenge, Mary Ann from Classic Casual Home is just killin’ it.  She stenciled her walls, painted her ceilings and added bold new curtains.  With so much done I’m really curious to see where she goes from here.

Also, I wanted to alert you guys to a great cause.  My good friend, Jamie, works for the Hamels Foundation and is putting together an auction for gently used designer handbags.   If you have a bag that you no longer use in your rotation, please consider donating it!

For those of you who don’t know, the Hamels Foundation, is the creation of Cole Hamels (a fantastic pitcher for our Phillies) and his wife Heidi, and it provides support for quality education in the United States and Africa.  You can learn more HERE.

That stenciled wall is so amazing!!

  2. Stacey

I am totally loving where Mary Ann’s room is headed too! Loving it!

  3. Ashley

That stenciled wall is pretty freakin’ cool. Oh, and not only is Cole Hamels a fantastic pitcher for the Phils, he’s gunning to be the #1 pitcher in the rotation (can you tell I’m excited for baseball season?).

  4. How adorable are you!!!! Thanks for the mention. So far I have not really spent much (the ceiling paint and light fixture–I did two years ago).

You sound like a dynamo…even with a cold. Hope you feel better!!!

  5. Kim Macumber

MaryAnn is unbelievable!! The time and effort into this wall … and curtains … beautifully executed … like you, I can’t wait to see what else is happening in here!! xo

  6. I hope you can take time to enjoy a glass or twenty of wine in your new place and pat yourself on the back… cottage is already looking awesome and will only get better.

    Woo! You bought a house!
