The Elephant Table was a great find in Lambertville NJ
I probably wont keep it here because its such a great table and it gets a little lost over here.
I’d like to find something a little taller and less wide.
Here’s the detail of the table base. Let’s just pretend like those ugly wires aren’t there, ok?
The bed skirt was picked up at an Urban Outfitters sample sale.
A note about UO Sample sales… You have to have a friend who works at the company (my sister designs all the prettiest dresses for Free People.) If you go you have to be prepared to run and grab stuff like a crazy person. It’s like Supermarket sweep only you are competing against fashionable and fit hipsters. When I grabbed this bed skirt I didn’t know if it was for a single or a queen or how I would use it. I just knew I liked it and it was like 10 bucks. As it turns out, it fits my bed and goes with the decor. Score.
The lamp is THIS ONE from Lamps Plus.
I didn’t like the color so I spray painted it gold.
The tray is from Home Goods.
The painting was found in my Nana’s basement.
I just love it in here!!
Usually I say that art doesn’t have to match your decor, but since mine is on the busier side, I like that it picks up my colors.
The gold bamboo mirror is vintage. I also found it in Lambertville.
(Sorry, I know a lot of you want a source for that one!)
The carved wood table was found a Philadelphia estate shop.
The chair was a craigslist find that I refinished (poorly) with gold paint.
I’m planning to redo them someday, but for now, it works in here.
The black chevron fabric was also picked up at Material Culture and also sewed by me.
The top print is from John Murphy.
The bottom print is from Cozamia.
Both frames are thrift store finds. I always hunt down frames when thrifting.
My masterpiece photography, “Bailey, the pug,” was taken with my DSLR camera and blown up at Kinkos.
The frame is Ikea.
The Buddha is from Home Goods.
The orchid is from Trader Joes.
(I’m super picky when it comes to candles and only like light scents.)
And that, my friends, is the room. I hope you enjoyed!
