The next Chapter Begins…
So yesterday I took the red-eye home from San Francisco, went to settlement and bought myself a house. I’ve dubbed it “The Cottage” and I’m so very excited to make this house a home. Sure, it’s lacking in curb appeal, is teeny-tiny and is quite ugly on the inside, but I just know it’s going to be perfect when I’m done.
The whole endeavor has been a huge leap of faith. I wasn’t planning on leaving the city, or owning a home or taking on a big project, but it just felt right. So I did what I’ve been doing all year; trust my gut and go for it. Luckily I have a strong team backing me. My father and the DM crew will help me transform the place from fug to fab, and my friends and family will help me fill it with love. What more could a girl ask for?
How ‘bout a big back yard!? Holla! Not gonna lie, I’m dying to get a trampoline. How can I make a trampoline chic? Skirt it? I’m looking forward to gardening, landscaping and serious back yard transformations. But I’m also being patient and practical. My budget isn’t huge, so things will have to happen over time. I’ll settle for cleaning up the front and some cosmetic interior improvements.
Stay tuned, I’ll be showing the inside soon. In fact I’ll be showing this house every step of the way. No secrets, no sneak peeks, just the house transformed as I can do it. I can’t wait to share.
And a little warning- I’m planning to make it completely different than the loft. Same stuff, same Naomi Style, but translated into a charming cottage setting. Yippeee! It feels good to have a home again.
