Whoa, where did this month go? Is it Halloween already? I am seriously ready to lay low this weekend (and work on some much needed marketing/website details I’ve been putting off.) It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the DM crew. Here’s a little of the action…
The guys have been installing cabinets at Project Craftsman. I just love the triple panel door we designed for the wall cabinets. This kitchen is half white half stained, like I talked about here, and it’s going to look fabuloso when its done.
We designed a custom ottoman for the living room of our Chestnut Hill job. I think my client and I were both a little nervous how the octagonal snakeskin piece would turn out, but we both love it. We installed the major furniture pieces a couple of weeks ago and the room is really coming together. We still need curtains, art and accessories.
The combination or a little trimming and changing of the leaves has really upped my curb appeal. Mom and I have lots of plans for this front yard!
ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK: I shared a favorite dining room project of mine. Thanks for all the support from those of you who liked it! I also talked about going teal in thebedroom. That seemed to be a popular decision as well.
ON PINTEREST: Have you been following along with the High Point Style Spotters? I was pretty bummed I couldn’t go to this years huge furniture show, but at least I get to catch the best of it on Pinterest. I got busy pinning lots of great finds last night.
ELSEWHERE: This is old news, but Christine’s daughter’s room makeover was just too divine I couldn’t not share. What a great space for a girl of any age!

you killed it on the ottoman! really love it and the kitchen so far.
Wao!!! the ottoman is WAO!!!!
Snakeskin, octagonal ottoman. Ouch. What a killer piece. How could you have doubted the success of that looker for even a second? :0)
Sessy, sessy snakeskin. Looks so great…as does your changing front yard. Have a great weekend, lady.
Wow! Your home looks fantastic with the landscaping… what a big difference.
The Oh Joy wallpaper is simply divine in Christine’s daughter’s room and we don’t see it on the pic here but did you see the armoire she found vintage? My 2 daughters have been drooling over it ever since they saw a post on FB pass in my feed.
That ottoman is darling! Great choice! When I first bought my house, it was from an elderly lady and they told me at the closing, aside from mowing the yard, no one had done any yard work in 9 years. NINE. Crazy. Trimming and planting has made such a difference, all that work is worth it girl!
Dizang, THAT OTTOMAN!
OMG those cabinets are beyond stunning. I would just die. And how chic is that girls bedroom?! I want it for myself!
I love the craftsman cabinets!! And I can’t wait for my [almost] 2 year olds to be ready for a bedroom upgrade! It’s going to be so much fun to do a big girl room!
That ottoman is amazing, especially with the very neutral chairs.
Love the house, you have done a great job already.
Love the ottoman! can you tell me where you found the fabric??? Thanks
Naomi,
Talk about a statement piece; that ottoman is fabulous!!

The ottoman fabric is Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa.
I adore those cabinets for Project Craftsman! Maybe because they remind me of my cabinets (http://justbeinginfertile.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-great-cabinet-caper.html). Mine are not in nearly such good shape, but I got them from the demolition of a century-old built-in pantry, so I think they get some leeway for that
.
The snakeskin ottoman is GORGEOUS!!!! Great floral/tree replacement … curb appeal beauty!
