For me the bathroom is all about the details. OK, it’s about sinks, showers, maybe a tub, certainly a toilet, good clearances, adequate storage, pretty tiles, etc. But what makes it special? What makes it a room you LOVE being in? It’s the details.
Here are my top 5 Details I love in a bath right now…
1. Separate metal vanities with a chest in between
I love furniture in a bathroom. When mixed with freestanding sinks its so much more interesting than a regular old vanity cabinet. It just instantly takes it up two classy notches. I really like the openess of the metal console and the contrast against the chest.
Storage + good looks = a winner bathroom in my book.

2. A pretty curved detail on your sink backsplash
How does such a little thing make me so giddy?
3. A statement wall behind your tub
Can you believe this mosaic wall of flowers? Whether its tile, or wallpaper, or art, or a mirror… do something fabulous over your tub. Because enjoying a bath should be all about being fabulous.
4. A decorative mirror over the sink
Technically there are lots of details to steal from this bath- a hexagonal tile floor, modern eclectic chandelier, a metallic wall treatment, a mirror trash can… but I SO enjoy a decorative mirror. (And you know I love me some bamboo.)
5, A 3/4 tiled wall with plate Mirror above and a ledge for art
I am HANKERING to steal this look! I love the expansive look of the marble wall tile, and how the mirror totally opens up the room visually. Any bathroom with room for a little display makes me happy too.

That last bathroom is seriously a dream. I was never fond of the metal free standing sinks because of the lack of storage but I think you just made me a believer! PINNING!
