Just loving the gold base of this tulip table- it’s just the right amount of unexpected glam.I’m thinking about giving a similar treatment to my Docksta table. The base has been looking a little grubby, why not give it a new metallic life?
What do you think… très chic, or too flashy for you?
Interior design by Ashlina Kaposta for Adore Magazine. Congrats, Ashlina, the space looks great!
Interesting. I’ve never seen this before. I think if you’re Docksta needs a facelift, it’s a great idea! I’m all for a little gold!
I love this idea! I actually see these tables pretty often at flea markets/antique markets but they are always beat up so I never really give them a second glance. I might consider getting one now!

LOVE THAT! MAYBE I NEED TO GET ONE NOW!!! xoxo
Love this! I have touches of gold everywhere!
There is no such thing as too much gold.
Do it!
Maybe you should try to gold leaf it….JK!!!! ;p
Love this! I wonder what would be the best method? gold leaf, paint? Might be hard to get it looking smooth…
Caitlin- if your serious, you should look on CL. I see them all the time.
Brandi- I swear by Montana Gold’s Gold spray paint. No more gold leafing for me after my french chair debacle!
Love it! I don’t think it’s too flashy, since it’s not a super glossy/shiny metallic…love it in that slightly muted finish
If you think I am going to say no to adding some glamour, you are *ca-razy*! I think it’s fabulous…I’m going to be an enabler and say DO IT! DO IT!
Ooh, this just opens up the idea of all the different fabulous colors you can paint the base in.
I don’t think it’s too flashy one bit.
I am liking this! I have a tulip base languishing in my basement but I haven’t found the right idea for it . . .
tres chic. But metallic gold is my FAVORITE color, and always will be!

I’m with team gold – do it! ♥

Do it!!! Love!!!
beautiful!
i hope you do it — take pictures!
I think it’s so unexpected and interesting. I say go for it.
i love metallics, and have adorned the walls in my studio with it.
I think because the gold is not too flashy and quite matt it blends in nicely.

I’m all for the midas touch!
I’m super late to the game here, but yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Just no gold leaf, am I right?
I love this idea! I actually see these tables pretty often at flea markets/antique markets but they are always beat up so I never really give them a second glance. I might consider getting one now!
Fab idea…. love the look.
Gold leaf! Bahaha sike. Spray paint for you.
Love it! I wonder what paint they used for this?
Definitely tres chic! I’ve been contemplating dipping my old, beat up dining room chairs in gold paint… to add some oommphh!
